La veo por todas partes, es una de mis últimas obsesiones...esperaba ganar el sorteo de Elisa de Decora tu alma para ver si podía pedírmela..., no pudo ser...para San Nicolás ,y eso que he sido buena...pues tampoco,me quedan dos oportunidades; una , la Loteria ,desestimada (no he comprado nada) . Sólo me quedan que el 6 de Enero se acuerden de ésta que suspira por esta maravillosa lámpara de los 50 que destaca e ilumina, nunca mejor dicho, cada espacio en el que  participa

EN STANDBY:MUDANZA / IN STANDBY:MOVING

Durante cuatro años, siempre he querido volver a casa. El tiempo pasa muy lento cuando estás lejos, la vida se hace dura, , se llena de añoranza , idealizas lo vivido y piensas que es imposible que sea mejor que  tu vida en tu ciudad...pero con el tiempo aprendes a madurar, a ser independiente , a vivir  ese momento, aprendes a abrir tu mente, a convivir diferente, aprendes a  aprender, y cuando sabes que vuelves, entonces, en ese mismo instante te das cuenta que ya no eres la misma que cuando te fuiste, que eres un poco de la ciudad que te acogió, y , sobretodo , que echarás mucho menos todas las cosas que antes pensabas que nunca ibas a añorar...
Gracias a todos por leerme, por aguantar mis historias de mudanzas, mis cuentas atrás...
Gracias a los amigos que dejo aquí, compañeros de todas mis lágrimas que ahora no sé porque vertí...
Gracias a los amigos de mi ciudad, a mi familia, que me han soportado estos cuatro años...
Y sobretodo, gracias a ti, porque sin tí , nada de esto hubiera tenido sentido, gracias por esta  aventura, que , ahora tanto me alegro de haber vivido a tu lado...
Mañana, vuelvo a casa.

For four years, I always wanted to go home. Time passes very slowly when you're away, life is hard, filled with longing, idealize life experiences and think it's impossible to be better than your life in your city ... but eventually you learn to mature, be independent, to live that moment, you learn to open your mind, to live differently, learn to learn, and when you know you're back, then, at that very moment you realize you are no longer the same as when you left, you are a little of the city that hosted, and above all, to drive them out much less all the things you once thought you'd never miss ...

A menos de quince días para que empiece la Navidad, y a menos de ocho para mudarme unas imágenes de deco navideña sin necesariamente un árbol ni superpresupuestos, que estamos en crisis y en los pisos no nos caben más cosas.

Less than two weeks to Christmas begins, and less than eight for moving  some images of Christmas deco not necessarily a tree or superbudgets, we are in crisis and the apartments do not have more space.

APARTAMENTO EN BROOKLIN:TRABAJAR DESDE CASA / AN APPARTMENT IN BROOKLIN:WORKING AT HOME

Como esto de trabajar desde casa va a ser futuro inmediato en Barcelona, no paro de buscar ideas para  KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON y un ejemplo es el caso de este apartamento que he encontrado aquí.
Ubicado en Brooklin y habitado por un editor de moda y una estilista free lance, este loft tiene todo lo que necesitan, aunque el tamaño no sea espectacular.
Azul turquesa, blanco, pizarras y piezas vintage hacen que esta  vivienda tenga un look natural*.
El espacio de trabajo, sin más;perfecto
Al no tener armarios , han utilizado un espacio como vestidor, pintándolo con un azul intenso y rodeándolo también de fotos como las de los zapatos del día de su boda.
En la habitación principal han creado una atmósfera íntima, con recuerdos y fotos.
 *Natural: con vida, no artificial .

As this work from home immediate future will be in Barcelona, I keep searching for ideas and KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON  , an example is the case in this apartment I've found here.

Located in Brooklyn, and inhabited by a fashion editor and a freelance stylist, this loft has everything they need, but the size is not spectacular.
Turquoise, white, slate and vintage pieces make this house has a natural look *.
The workspace, without more, perfect
With no cabinets, have used as a dressing room, painting it with bright blue and surrounding as well as photos of the shoes on their wedding day.
In the main room created an intimate atmosphere, memories and photos.

WALL DECOR:ESTANTERIAS PARA COLOCAR CUADROS / WALLDECOR:SHELVES TO PUT PICTURES

Uno de mis tantas indecisiones  a la hora de elegir cómo decorar y cómo colocar unos cuadros es (aparte de ir con el martillo y el cuelgafácil por toda la casa)¿y si me canso, qué? vuelve a enmasillar ,lijar y pintar la pared.

Pero, y si tenemos la oportunidad de variar  la decoración cuánto se nos antoje sin acribillar el piso?

Utilizando estanterias podemos hacer dinámica la decoración; en el dormitorio ,cocina o en el salón, según nos apetezca, nuestros recuerdos en una estancia diferente.

One of my many hesitations when choosing how to decorate and how to put some pictures is (apart from going with the hammer around the house)  if I get bored, what? re-caulking, sanding and painting the wall.

But what if we have the opportunity to change the decoration how we choose without peppering the wall?
With shelves we have dynamically decoration, in the bedroom ,kitchen or living room as we want, our memories in a different room.

RESTAURACIÓN DE UN MARCO ANTIGUO

Si alguno de vosotros se ha fijado en MI PERFIL ( no el de la foto :p) desde el principio escribí un  ADICTA A LA RESTAURACIÓN DE MUEBLES.

Pues bien, una de mis últimas adicciones, está siendo la restauración de marcos.

Éste que os enseño hoy, es uno de los que peor he encontrado y se demuestra que TODO es restaurable (algunos con más gracia otros con menos), pero métodos para devolverle un aspecto "normal" existen.

If any of you have set in my profile (not the photo: p) from the beginning I wrote addicted to furniture restoration.

Well, one of my latest addictions, is being the restoration of frames.

This one I show you today is one of the worst I have found and demostrated that everything is restorable (some more than others with less skill), but methods to restore a "normal" look there.

Le faltaba totalmente un lateral, así que, hice un molde( la pasta azul de la izquierda) de su lado .
Completely lacked the side, so I made a mold (dough left blue) on your side

 Rellené ese molde azul con yeso y cuando se secó lo pegué con cola de pescado (si os suena mal , imaginaros cómo huele ).

I filled the blue mold with plaster and when it dried I glued with a fish tail (if you sound bad, imagine how it smells).

A continuación lo pinté con ASSIETTE (es lo malo de vivir aquí, no sé como se dice en castellano, help!)que es una mezcla de este material con agua y cola de conejo, que es un adherente.

Then I painted with ASSIETTE (is it bad to live here, do not know how they say in Spanish, help!) Which is a mixture of this material with water and rabbit skin glue, which is an adherent.

Coloqué las hojas de cobre

Lo lijé un poco con lanilla, para matizarlo, le añadí barniz con color, lo ensucié con de todo; polvo, pigmento marrón  y le añadí una última capa de cera con un poco de color.

I sanded a little nap, to qualify it, I added color varnish, messed with it all, powder, brown pigment and added a final coat of wax with a little color.

Et voilà!!
