Un apartamento de 64 m2 donde se han respetado los materiales  constructivos originales  y al mismo tiempo se han resaltado y enfatizado, como la tarima de  madera o las paredes de ladrillo.

El hierro forjado se ha utilizado para dividir alguna estancia como la zona de dormitorio, que endurece un espacio quizás destinado siempre una imagen más dulce.

An apartment of 64 m2 which has respected the original  building materialsand at the same time have been highlighted and emphasized, like the wood  floor or brick walls.

Wrought iron has been used to divide a stay as the sleeping area, which hardens a space perhaps always meant a fresh image.

LA SIMPLICIDAD DE LA MADERA EN LA CONSTRUCCIÓN/ WOOD SIMPLICITYIN THE CONSTRUCTION

Una vivienda realizada en pino blanqueado. Un espacio lleno de diferentes tonalidades, texturas, vetas y materiales vivos.

La madera contrasta con  el cemento pulido utilizado como pavimento y es completado con mobiliario de autor y líneas simples que parecen ofrecer protagonismo al material utilizado para su construcción.

A house made of bleached pine. A space full of different colors, textures, veins and a  livin material.

The wood contrasts with the polished concrete used as floor and is complete with design furniture and simple lines that seem to offer leadership to the material used for its construction.

EL DESEO DE REUTILIZAR MATERIALES ANTIGUOS/ THE DESIRE TO REUSE OLD MATERIALS

Una cabaña construida a partir de una vieja estructura abandonada que constituyó el punto de partida del proyecto. 

La pareja, formado por un arquitecto y una diseñadora gráfico, han pasado los dos últimos años de los fines de semana poco recuperando y construyendo su sueño. La mayoría de los materiales son reciclados: la puerta principal, entarimados y todas las ventanas. 

Este deseo de reutilizar materiales antiguos ha sido útil para reducir costes y aportar a la casa  la esencia de lo vivido. 

A cottage built from an old abandoned structure that was the starting point of the project.

The couple formed by an architect and graphic designer, have spent the last two years of weekends recently recovering and building their dream. Most of the materials are recycled: the front door, flooring and all windows.

This desire to reuse old materials it has been useful to reduce costs and bring  the essence of the house lived.

LA IMPORTANCIA DE LOS TEXTILES: AZUL/THE IMPORTANCE OF TEXTILES: BLUE

Un apartamento de tan sólo 28 m2 con el mínimo y justo mobiliario. Los textiles son los grandes protagonistas de esta estancia y conviven con  mobiliario de materiales nobles como las fibras naturales o la madera en la luminaria.

Un contraste perfecto de tonalidades cálidas y frías.

An apartment of 28 m2 with only minimal furniture. Textiles are the stars of this room and live together with furniture from natural materials such as fibers and wood  in the luminaire.

Perfect contrast of warm and cool shades.

REFORMA EN BUSCA DE LA LUZ/ REMODELING IN SEARCH OF LIGHT

El estudio de arquitectura Vitrô, reformó este apartamento de los años 60 en Sao Paulo, aportándole luminosidad y sensación de espacio al comunicar tres estancias como el recibidor, salón y cocina.

Ladrillo  y pilares de hormigón quedaron a la vista  en el proceso de actualización. Un aspecto ligeramente inacabado que se mezcla con alfombras y muebles de colores, y combinado con plantas y flores para crear un ambiente informal.

The architectural Vitrô reformed this apartment of 60's in Sao Paulo, bringing light to communicate three rooms and a hall, living room and kitchen.

Brick and concrete pillars were visible in the process of updating.A slightly unfinished look that blends with colorful carpets and furniture, and combined with plants and flowers to create a casual atmosphere.

 

La delicadeza de los tonos cálidos en una habitación infantil/ The delicacy of the warm tones in a children's room

Un apartamento de 65 m2 situado en un edificio de los años 30 donde cierta parte del mobiliario pertenece a brocantes como el escritorio de esta habitación infantil.

Tonalidades grises se han combinado con colores cálidos como la colcha que cubre una de las camas de una litera pintada en negro  y algún mobiliario como la silla en amarillo.

Un espacio cálido sin estridencias.

An apartment of 65 m2 located in a building of the 30s where some of the furniture belongs to  brocantes as the desktop of this kids bedroom.

Shades of gray have been combined with warm colors like the quilt that covers one of the bunk beds painted in black and some furniture like the chair in yellow.

A warm space without stridency.

Transformación de apartamentos históricos

El estudio de Varsovia Mamastudio ha puesto en marcha su propio hotel, convirtiendo los espacios residenciales en habitaciones que exhiben muebles y obras de arte de diseñadores polacos.

Unos espacios destinados a atraer a la gente en busca de la belleza, de un ambiente sin pretensiones y una oportunidad de conectar con la gente con intereses similares

Las características históricas como las molduras y pisos de parquet se han conservado y contrastan con barras de cobre y de vidrio utilizado como separadores de ambiente en algunas zonas del hotel. 

The Warsaw study Mamastudio has launched its own hotel, making premises in rooms displaying furniture and artworks of Polish designers.

Some spaces for attracting people in search of beauty, an unpretentious atmosphere and a chance to connect with people with similar interests

Historic features such as moldings and parquet floors have been preserved and contrast with copper bars and glass used as room dividers in some areas of the hotel.

UNA CASA ENTRE LOS ÁRBOLES: BLOOT ARCHITECTURE/A HOUSE BETWEEN TREES:BLOOT ARCHITECTURE

Bloot Architecture, un estudio de arquitectura en La Haya, transformaron una casa de vacaciones de 1950 realizando una extensión de la azotea. La casa compacta y la nueva adición da la sensación de vivir alta entre los árboles.

El diseño tenía que cumplir con las estrictas regulaciones de la zona en cuanto a la altura máxima y un techo inclinado de construcción, sin dejar a la vista la vivienda entre la vegetación circundante.

Un mínimo de piezas ocupan la casa en cuanto a mobiliario se refiere y la madera fue el material elegido para su construcción tanto interior como exterior.

Bloot Architecture, an architectural firm in The Hague, became a 1950 holiday house made an extension of the roof. The compact house and the new addition gives the feeling of living high in the trees.

The design had to meet strict zoning regulations regarding the maximum height and a sloping roof construction, while housing sight among the surrounding vegetation.

A minimum of parts occupying the house in furniture and wood refers was the material of choice for both interior and exterior construction.

RESPETO POR LA HISTORIA EN LA REFORMA DE UNA VIVIENDA / RESPECT FOR THE HISTORY OF HOUSING REFORM

La reforma cuidadosa de una vivienda de 1880 utilizando materiales sencillos para no restarle el carácter y protagonismo a los elementos originales de ésta.

Se le otorga importancia a la escalera original con la tonalidad amarilla y se mantienen las vigas y materiales como las maderas que se utilizan para realizar la isla de la cocina, que proceden del propio derribo.

The careful renovation of a house in 1880 using simple materials to not detract from the character prominence to the original elements of it.
Importance has been given to the original stairs with yellow hue and materials as beams and wood used to make the kitchen island, coming from the demolition itself is maintained.
