HOTEL KOTI, ENSAYO EXPERIMENTAL DEL INSTITUT FINLANDÉS EN PARÍS/ KOTI HOTEL, EXPERIMENTAL ESSAY FROM INSTITUT FINLANDAIS IN PARIS

El hotel Koti del Institut Finlandais en París fue concebido como un "hogar común compartido".

Los huéspedes tienen la opción de alojarse en una de las seis cabañas de madera situadas alrededor de la habitación principal, y todos comen un desayuno típicamente finlandés.

Un ensayo experimental que requiere que el invitado a participar en algo completamente nuevo.

Koti es parte del proyecto Mobile Home 2017, que explora los diferentes significados del hogar con instalaciones únicas en los Institutos finlandeses en Benelux, Berlín, Londres y París.

El lanzamiento de la instalación coincidió con la feria Maison & Objet de este año.

Estará abierto en París durante 100 días antes de unirse a las otras tres instalaciones en un escaparate conjunto en el edificio de Helsinki White Hall.

The Koti Hotel of the Institut Finlandais in Paris was conceived as a "shared common home".

Guests have the option of staying in one of the six wooden cabins located around the main room, and all eat a typically Finnish breakfast.

An experimental essay that requires the guest to participate in something completely new.

Koti is part of the Mobile Home 2017 project, which explores the different meanings of the home with unique facilities in the Finnish Institutes in Benelux, Berlin, London and Paris.

The launch of the installation coincided with the fair Maison & Objet this year.

It will be open in Paris for 100 days before joining the other three facilities in a joint showcase in the Helsinki White Hall building.

EN TORNO A LA NATURALEZA: VIVIENDA EN BUENOS AIRES/ AROUND THE NATURE: HOUSE IN BUENOS AIRES

Una vivienda que gira en torno a la naturaleza, totalmente abierta al jardín y grandes ventanales.
El edificio se construyó alrededor de los árboles.
La casa no posee adornos arquitectónicos. Realizado en dos niveles, expone vigas industriales, tuberías y suelos de hormigón.
Las paredes también están hechas de bloques de hormigón en bruto.
Lo que existía en el jardín fue preservada, el resto fue diseñado con plantas de fácil mantenimiento y bien aclimatado: plátano con hojas exuberantes y florecen entre acacias y jacarandas. Un amor por la la pureza de líneas simples.

A house that revolves around nature, totally open to the garden and large windows.
The building was built "around the trees,"
The house has no apparent architectural decorations. Built on two levels, it exposes industrial beams, pipes and concrete floors.
The walls are made of rough concrete blocks.
What was in the garden was preserved, the rest was designed with easy maintenance plants and well acclimatized: banana with lush leaves and flowering between acacias and jacarandas. A love for the purity of simple lines.

LA CASA DE LA GRANJA CON IMAGEN DE PABELLÓN

Un diseño de una vivienda concebida como un pabellón de techo plano.  Con una superficie de aproximadamente 247 m2, una plataforma elevada ofrece el bungalow con vistas a través de su entorno rural.

Los arquitectos especificaron que la casa se construyera sobre todo en madera. Se ha utilizado un discreto metal gris oscuro para los marcos de las ventanas.

Las sala centrales y la gran sala, dos ejes principales definen el diseño del bungalow, proporcionan vistas ininterrumpidas desde un extremo de la casa a la otra.

A design of a house conceived as a flat roof pavilion. With an area of approximately 247 m2, an elevated platform offers the bungalow with views across its rural surroundings.

The architects specified that the house was built mostly on wood. A discreet dark gray metal has been used for window frames.

The central rooms and the large room, two main axes define the design of the bungalow, provide uninterrupted views from one end of the house to the other.

WABI SABI HOUSE

La reforma de  una casa de los años 60 en la ciudad de Taichung, China, crea espacios abiertos y conectados que dan a unas terrazas de jardín.
La estructura existente de ladrillos de la residencia se había quedado obsoleta y requería una modernización para satisfacer las necesidades de una familia joven, cuya idea principal era demolerla y reconstruirla.
Uno de los objetivos clave de la renovación fue la de mejorar la conexión entre el interior y los espacios exteriores, incluyendo un jardín compacto y varios balcones.
El proyecto se titula Wabi-Sabi House, siguiendo el principio estético japonés de celebrar la belleza que es imperfecta, no permanente o incompleta.

The reform of a 60's house in Taichung, China, creates open and connected spaces that overlook a garden terraces.
The existing brick structure of the residence had become obsolete and required upgrade to meet the needs of a young family whose main idea was to demolish and rebuild it.
One of the objectives of the renovation was to improve the connection between the interior and exterior spaces, including a compact garden and several balconies.

The project is titled Wabi-Sabi House, following the Japanese aesthetic principle of celebrating beauty that is imperfect, impermanent or incomplete.

ARQUITECTURA DE AMPLIACIÓN Y CONEXIÓN DE UNA VIVIENDA/ ARCHITECTURE OF EXPANSION AND CONNECTING A HOUSING

Situado en un terreno con forma triangular y en pendiente, el estudio de arquitectura realizó la renovación y ampliación de esta vivienda de 1970 en Melbourne. Este cristal hace de conexión entre la antigua y la nueva vivienda y dispone de una entrada al abrigo de la lluvia mediante un techo acristalado que se abre hacia el patio trasero.

Located on a triangular shape and sloping, the architects made the renovation and expansion of the housing of 1970 in Melbourne. This crystal makes connection between the old and the new house and has an entrance sheltered from the rain by a glass roof that opens to the backyard.

ESPACIOS ABIERTOS EN UNA VIVIENDA EN JAPÓN/ OPEN SPACES IN A HOME IN JAPAN

Una vivienda de  dos niveles con un patio parcialmente cubierto que se extiende hacia la calzada y bosque lejano. En su interior, la madera y las tonalidades blanca proporcionan un sereno y ordenado ambiente.

A two-level apartment with a partially covered patio that extends into the driveway and distant woods. Inside, wood and white shades provide a serene and orderly environment.

CASA DE VACACIONES CON VISTAS AL MAR/HOLIDAY HOUSE WITH SEA VIEWS

Manuel Aires Mateus ha diseñado esta vivienda aislada, con cuatro estructuras separadas.
La casa de vacaciones se encuentra por encima del pueblo portugués Sur de Melides, con vistas al mar. La propiedad se encuentra en un gran parque, con placa formada de hormigón utilizado durante la construcción del régimen.
De las cuatro estructuras, tres incluyen habitaciones dobles con cuarto de baño. El volumen final contiene la vivienda principal, junto a una cocina y un dormitorio doble con cuarto de baño contiguo.
Una interpretación minimalista del Alentejo portugués.

Manuel Aires Mateus  has designed this isolated house with four separate structures.
The holiday is over  Sur de Melides, Portuguese village, overlooking the sea. The property is located in a large park with plate formed concrete used during construction of the regime.
Of the four structures, including three double rooms with bathroom. The final volume contains the main house, with a kitchen and a double bedroom with adjoining bathroom.

REFORMA DE VIVIENDA EN L'EIXAMPLE: NOOK ARCHITECTS/ HOUSING REFORM IN EIXAMPLE: NOOK ARCHITECTS

La reforma de esta vivienda localizada en Barcelona y realizada por Nook Architects invierte la posición de la sala de estar y cocina y una gran abertura vertical se realizó en el muro de carga, mejorando la iluminación y la comunicación. Una nueva disposición permite que la luz penetre a las zonas más oscuras que están más lejos de la fachada. El salón y el dormitorio principal están separados por una gran puerta corredera que está pintada del mismo color que la pared y desaparece cuando está abierto. La parte superior de dicha pared está terminado con un espejo que crea la ilusión de que la partición no llega al techo y que el espacio continúa con sus vigas perpendicular a la fachada.

El proyecto recupera su techo abovedado y vigas de madera. Los materiales y los tonos tienen una apariencia muy natural: la madera para el el suelo en la sala de estar y dormitorios y mosaico hidráulico para cocina y baños. Algunos muros de carga se quedaron con el ladrillo visto y todo el apartamento es tratado con tonos de negro, ocre y grises.

The reform of this house located in Barcelona  by Nook Architects inverts the position of the living room and kitchen and a large vertical opening was held in the bearing wall, improving lighting and communication. A new provision allows light to penetrate the darker areas that are further from the facade. The living room and master bedroom are separated by a large sliding door is painted the same color as the wall and disappears when open. The top of this wall is finished with a mirror that creates the illusion that the partition does not reach the ceiling and the space continues with its beams perpendicular to the facade.

The project recovers its vaulted ceiling and wooden beams. The materials and the shades have a very natural appearance: wood for the floor in the living room and bedrooms and hydraulic mosaic for kitchen and bathrooms. Some load-bearing walls kept the brick and the whole apartment is treated with shades of black, ocher and gray.

RENOVACIÓN DE UNA VIVIENDA VICTORIANA/ RENOVATION OF A VICTORIAN HOUSE

La renovación de una vivienda adosada orientada al sur para maximizar la luz solar, con una conexión desde el patio trasero y la adaptación contemporánea a la arquitectura victoriana original de la fachada.
La casa debía conservar  la parte original. Se creó un espacio de transición 'corredor' que conecta y trae la luz en la casa original . Una transición sin problemas entre el interior y el exterior se ha establecido sobre todo en la planta baja. una puerta de cristal  pivotante abre la sala a la terraza jardín  y promueve la luz solar en la planta longitudinal.

The renovation of a townhouse facing south to maximize sunlight, with a connection from the backyard and contemporary adaptation of the original Victorian architecture of the facade.
The house should retain the original part. a transitional space 'corridor' that connects and brings light into the original house was created. A smooth transition between interior and exterior has been established mainly on the ground floor. Pivoting glass door opens the room to the garden terrace and promotes the sunlight in the longitudinal plant.

CASA EN IBIZA: INTEGRACIÓN EN EL ENTORNO/ HOUSE IN IBIZA: INTEGRATION IN THE ENVIRONMENT

Situado en el punto más alto de una parcela en la isla de Ibiza, esta vivienda unifamiliar, diseñado por  Laura torres Roa y Alfonso Miguel Caballero, se integra en el entorno natural. Una unión entre el interior y exterior, un solo bloque, rectangular orientada al sureste.
Se divide en cuatro áreas funcionales, organizada de forma sucesiva. 
Se seleccionaron los materiales según las tradiciones y regulaciones locales y proporcionan a la casa una discreta elegancia mediterránea.

Located at the highest point of a rural plot on the island of ibiza, this single family home, designed by Laura towers and Alfonso Roa Miguel Caballero, it is integrated into the natural environment. A union between interior and exterior, a single block, rectangular facing southeast.
It is divided into four functional areas, organized in succession.
materials were selected according to local traditions and regulations and give the house a discrete Mediterranean elegance.

TRANSFORMACIÓN DE UNA COCINA Y UN ESTABLO EN UNA APARTAMENTO EN PARÍS/TRANSFORMATION OF A KITCHEN AND A STABLE IN AN APARTMENT IN PARIS /

La arquitecta Anne Rolland realizó la rehabilitación de esta vivienda del S.XVII, que además había estado sin uso alguno durante setenta años, transformándolo en un planta baja con la zona de noche.
Durante las obras de renovación, se eliminaron las paredes de yeso para revelar la mampostería de piedra caliza originales.

Architect Anne Rolland makes this housing rehabilitation seventeenth century, who had also been no use for seventy years, transforming it into a ground floor with the sleeping area.
During the renovation, the plaster walls to reveal the original limestone masonry were removed.

UNA CASA PARA DOS GENERACIONES/ A HOUSE FOR TWO GENERATIONS

Una reforma en la que la premisa principal era que fuera diseñada para poder albergar a dos generaciones con una cierta privacidad.
Una vivienda de 1920 con una  estructura de ladrillo doble con muy pocas ventanas, techos bajos, y habitaciones pequeñas.
El objetivo del diseño era mantener la estructura de la parte delantera de la casa, hacer de nuevo el interior y demoler la mitad trasera de la vivienda para dar paso a una nueva adición de dos plantas.

A reform that the main premise was that it was designed to accommodate two generations with some privacy.
A house in 1920 with a double brick structure with few windows, low ceilings and small rooms.
The design goal was to keep the structure of the front of the house, redo the inside and demolish the back half of the house to make way for a new addition of two floors.
