A MIRROR IN THE KITCHEN

Quizás, decorativamente hablando, no sea  un diseño espectacular ni algo novedoso, pero la delicadeza, el silencio  y la  simplicidad que  muestra esta foto me ha parecido sublime.

LOFT EN DISTRITO 10 :PARIS

Unas vistas espectaculares hacia nada menos que París. Pero, podemos obviarlo e intentar adaptarlo a nuestros parajes.

Madera en el suelo sin tratar, mobiliario de distintas épocas, un rojo constante por casi todas las estancias y un ambiente invadido de blanco y negro  que le aporta esa sobriedad   a sus estancias.

De cómo conseguir un vestidor en habitaciones difícilmente utilizables como habitación. Quizás pensemos en hacer reformas y unir dos habitaciones para obtener dormitorio más  un armario decente. Aquí van algunas ideas , sin obras  , y tener el anhelado vestidor sin derribar un solo tabique.

Realmente elegante el trabajo de Russell Smith. Vivo, alegre, colorista, real. 

Cada escena que fotografía, parece parada en el tiempo, como si los figurantes, los habitantes de cada una de las casas, hubiesen salido de éstas sólo para poder hacerse la foto.

QUEDAMOS EN LA COCINA / LET'S MEET IN THE KITCHEN

Quinto post  ya en el que  nos reunimos treinta y cinco bloggers y mostramos nuestra interpretación de las diferentes partes de una vivienda. Una idea que , cada vez me resulta más  que bien pensada y muy enriquecedora, ya que , nos  empapamos unos de los otros de arte y estilos diferentes.

Esta vez, la cocina, un espacio, para muchos muy concurridos  y para otros  un lugar de paso. Para mi,  últimamente me seduce la antítesis de lo que era mi cocina ideal. Me seduce el negro, el chocolate, la madera, la simplicidad y  la no altura.La no altura, sin muebles altos , para darle amplitud a ese espacio. Mezclada con paredes blancas y como elemento decorativo, las propias de una cocina: tazas , vasos,aceiteras...

Algún cuadro, algún detalle personal es para mi la cocina ideal.

This time, the kitchen, a space, for many busy and for others a place of transit. For me, lately I relish the antithesis of what was my dream kitchen.  A veces, me resulta difícil encontrar una casa que contenga todos los espacios a la medida. Por esta razón , me resulta ideal formar una mezcla de diferentes estancias, de diferentes viviendas y hacerlas una. Hoy, neutralidad en los colores, simplicidad , muchas sillas y pequeños toques de color.

150 AÑOS DE CASA? A 150 YEARS HOUSE?

Ciento cincuenta años de casa que sólo se adivinan por sus altos techos y la escalera. Dos artistas que viven en ella :una ilustradora y un diseñador gráfico. Ilustraciones de ella y de otros artistas, combinadas con mobiliario adquirido a muy bajo precio o encontrados por amigos.
